PETRI BOMAN APPOINTED TIKKURILA'S NEW HEAD OF PROCUREMENT

Mr Arne Dietl, Purchasing Director at Tikkurila Oy, the company responsible for Kemira's paints and coatings business, is to retire on 31 December 2005. Mr PETRI BOMAN, M.Sc. (Eng), 38, will be appointed Group Vice President, Procurement, as from 1 October 2005. He has previously worked with global sourcing and procurement within the Nokia Corporation.

In his new position, Mr Boman will bear responsibility for procurement in the whole Tikkurila Group and report to Mr Visa Pekkarinen, President and CEO of Tikkurila Oy. From the same date, he will become member of the Management Team of Tikkurila Group. As member or Kemira Group's Procurement & Logistics Management Team he will report to Mr Pekka Ojanpää, EVP, Kemira Procurement & Logistics.
