Colour your own pictures with the Tikkurila Colour Planner 2.5 program

Home painters and paint professionals have for ages wanted a colour design program that would permit the customer to try various colour combinations for his/her own indoor or outdoor painting applications. Now this service is available for everybody.

Trying different colour combinations is very easy! Tikkurila has introduced a web colouring program, with which you can colour digital pictures you have taken of your own house, cottage or flat.

The program is installed on your own computer. You can colour the sample pictures free of charge.

The Colour Planner application contains all the valid Tikkurila colour charts and the possibility to use pre-selected colour combinations. When you have finished colouring a house or room, you can use the program to print a list showing which colours you have chosen for each subject, which colour chart the colours were picked from and which products Tikkurila recommends for the subject in question. The list is an easy-to-use shopping list when you go to a paint shop to examine actual colour charts and to buy paint.

In order to colour your own picture, you must first crop it. Use the colouring program to separate the picture parts to be painted, e.g. roof, walls, sills, dressing etc., to the format it requires. The third-generation image-processing system by Upload Image Processing Oy makes cropping pictures possible. The price of making it possible to colour your own pictures is as a normal delivery: interior pictures 8.90 € each and exterior pictures 15 € each.

The program is not intended to replace colour charts or colour chips but to give you an opportunity to experiment how colours affect the pictured subject and what kind of an atmosphere you can create with them. Computer displays and printers reproduce colours slightly differently, so remember to check all the selected colours in the Tikkurila colour charts or colour chips before buying paint and grapping a roller or brush.

Remember to check the selected colours in our colour charts in the paint shop before buying paint. The colours of the computer display and printout are as close to true as technically possible.

Requirements for colouring your own picture:

1. An existing picture of the house, cottage or flat. For best results, use a picture taken with a digital camera.
2. Computer* and Internet connection. The program works faster with a broadband connection.

Operating system: WinNT4, Win98, Win2000, XP, Vista.
Processor: 486 or a more recent version
Memory: RAM 32 Mt
Resolution: 800x600 or more
Colours: at least 65,536 colours.

Payment:

You can pay the picture in the web banks of Nordea, Sampo, Osuuspankki or Aktia. You can also pay with credit cards or through invoicing.
