Brighten up your home with a colourwash

Wall: undercoat Feelings Interior Paint 4531, colourwash Feelings Interior Paint 4610.

Applying a colourwash is a fast and simple way to brighten up single-colour walls in the home.

Choose either delicate, hazy colours or clear, bright ones - colourwash will bring walls to life!

Be sure to select your colours with care: the closer the effect paint colour is to the undercoat, the more delicate the pattern will be.

For best results, choose an effect paint that is slightly darker and more muted than the undercoat.

Instructions

Apply a Tikkurila acrylate interior paint such as Feelings Interior Paint or Joker to undercoat the walls, and allow to dry thoroughly.

Dilute one part of ready to use Feelings Effect Paint with one part water.

Apply the Effect Paint to the wall with rotating strokes as though washing it. Do not press hard - wipe it on lightly to spread the paint evenly. Apply 2 or 3 coats for an even and colour-saturated finish.

Allow the paint to dry between coats.

Feelings Interior Paint

Plaster, concrete, brick, building blocks and boards, MDF, wallpaper, etc. Feelings Interior Paint can be used for repainting interior surfaces previously coated with waterborne or alkyd paints. Feelings Interior Paint is also the recommended base coat for Feelings Effect Paint.

Coverage:	10-12 m²/l for non-absorbing surfaces 7-9 m²/l for absorbing surfaces The above should be used as a guide, as actual spreading rates will depend upon many factors including texture, porosity and application method.
Application method:	Brush, roller or spray application. For airless spray use a 0.017” – 0.021” spray tip. Thinning: if necessary thin by up to 10% with water.

Joker

Joker is suitable for interior painting of plaster, concrete, filler treated, brick, cardboard, wallpaper and wooden surfaces, also for cardboard-finished gypsum board, chipboard and wood fibre board surfaces. Suitable for new and previously painted surfaces as well as for surfaces previously treated with alkyd paint according to instructions.

Coverage:	10 - 12 m²/l for absorbing surfaces. 7 -9 m²/l for non-absorbing surfaces.
Application method:	Brush, roller or spray. For airless spray application, use a nozzle 0.015” – 0.021”. Thinning: If necessary thin up to 10% with water

Feelings Effect Paint

Full-matt acrylate-based translucent effect paint. For use in interior rooms on surfaces which have been previously painted with Feelings Interior Paint. Not suitable for painting doors or furniture.

Application method:	Brush or roller application. Finishing with effect roller.
