Clear-cut graphics with masking

Masking

Masking offers you graphical clarity for motifs or coloured surfaces. Paint the lower sections of walls that get dirty quickly in darker colours, while choosing something lighter for the upper sections, or create chequered patterns, stripes, or lines.

Remember to use masking tape to ensure clean edges for motifs with straight lines. You can also combine masking with other patterning techniques. Why not try out Tunto Fine Textured Finish or Mosaic Flake Lacquer, for example.

Combine contrasts and different techniques with flair, such as smooth paint finishes, Tunto Fine Textured Finish and masking.

Instructions

Draw the pattern and tape it to the wall.

With a small roller or brush, apply paint to the area marked out.

Remove the tape while the paint is still wet, as the tape will then come off more easily and leave a clean edge.
