| APPLICATION DETAILS | ||
| Application conditions | The surface to be painted must be dry, the temperature of the air at least 5 C, and the relative humidity of the air below 80 % both during painting and drying. | |
| Preparation | Unpainted surfaces:
Remove dirt, mould and loose material from untreated wooden surfaces. Prime surfaces with Valtti Base priming oil. Touch up nailheads and other parts vulnerable to rust with Rostex Metal Primer. Remove any resin extrusions and seal the knots with Oksalakka Knotting Lacquer. Previously painted surfaces: Remove loose, flaking paint and putty from previously painted wooden surface. Wash down dirty and moulded surfaces with Mould Removal (Homeenpoisto) solution, if necessary. Sand glossy surfaces matt and round sharp edges. Remove sanding dust. Treat bare wooden surfaces with Valtti Base priming oil. Seal the glass panel to the frame and possible cracks with an elastic window putty (ensure that the putty can be overcoated). |

| Painting | Stir the paint well before use. Prime with Teho window paint, Öljypohja or Jehu primer thinned 10% with White Spirit. Paint the window frames earlier painted with polyurethane or catalytic paint with Otex adhesion primer. Finish with unthinned Teho window paint 1 or 2 days after the priming. If necessary, finishing paint can be thinned with White Spirit 1050. Apply the paint 1 -2 mm over the glass panel. | |
| Cleaning of tools | Clean the tools with White Spirit or with Tikkurila Pensseli pesu (Brush Cleaner). | |

| ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND WASTE DISPOSAL | Empty cans should be recycled or disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Liquid waste should be destroyed according to the local regulations for hazardous waste. NOTE! Cleaning cloths or sanding dust containing the product can create fire by auto-ignition and should be stored in water before disposal, or be dried outdoors or incinerated immediately. | |
