| APPLICATION DETAILS | ||
| Application conditions | The surface to be treated must be dry, the temperature of the air at least +5 C , and the relative humidity of the air below 80% during painting and drying. | |
| Preparation | Remove dirt, dust and loose material from the wood surface. If previously treated surfaces have faded of there is mould on them, wash down the surfaces with Homeenpoisto (Mould Removal) or with Tehopesu (Power Cleaner) according to instructions. | |
| Treatment | Stir Valtti Wood Oil Akva thoroughly before use and from time to time during application. Apply 1 to 2 coats by brush or sponge. Spread evenly in continuous strokes to avoid overlapping. Wipe off excess oil within 30 min, as the oil should not form a film on the wood. The second coat can be applied as soon as the oil is absorbed or the surface is dry, normally after 24 hours. Tinted wood oil (application 2 times) is recommended for a more intensive colour . Oil treatment makes the wood look darker. Treat surfaces once a year if necessary. | |
