| APPLICATION DETAILS | ||
| Application conditions | The surface to be treated must be dry, the temperature of the air at least +8oC, and the relative humidity of the air below 80 % . Low temperature (about +15ºC) and high humidity (50-70 %) extend the open-time of the paint and facilitate the painting work. | |
| Preparation | Unpainted surfaces:
Remove all dirt and dust from new surfaces. Treat knots with Knotting Lacquer. Previously painted surfaces: Wash down previously painted or lacquered surfaces with Tikkurila MAALIPESU Cleaning Agent according to the instructions on the label. Allow to dry. Remove loose paint or lacquer with a scraper and sand the whole surface. Remove sanding dust. Fill holes and cracks with Presto Rapid Filler and sand filled places. Remove sanding dust. |

| Painting | Stir the paint carefully before use. Use the paint without thinning. Apply two coats with a synthetic-fibre brush, use paint liberally. Paint new panels first separately before installation, apply thin coats on joints. Darkened panels may require several coats and priming with Otex Adhesion Primer. | |
| Cleaning of tools | Remove excess paint from tools before cleaning with water. Tikkurila Pensselipesu (brush cleaner) is recommended to be used for cleaning hardened paint from tools. | |
| Maintenance instructions | Handle the surface with care, ultimate durability and hardness is reached in approx. a moth under normal circumstances. If cleansing is needed, use a soft brush, a mop or a damp cleaning cloth.
Avoid cleansing approx. 1 month after the painting work. Clean surface with a neutral (pH 6-8) dishwashing agent and a soft brush, sponge or a dust rag. Soiled surfaces can be cleansed with a cleaning tool using a neutral (pH 6-8) detergent. Rinse surface carefully after maintenance. |
