| DESCRIPTION | Low-odour, non-yellowing, waterborne acrylate latex finishing paint. | |
| PRODUCT FEATURES | Feelings Furniture Paint can be used on a wide range of interior surfaces, and dries to an attractive finish which is hard wearing and easily cleaned. Feelings Furniture Paint can also be used on primed metal and for repainting interior surfaces previously coated with waterborne, alkyd or acid catalysed paints. |

| APPLICATION DETAILS | ||
| Application conditions | The surface to be painted must be dry, the temperature of the air at least +8 C, and the relative humidity of the air below 80%.
Lower temperature (approx. +15 C) and higher humidity (50-70 % RH) will make the open-time of the paint longer and the work easier |

| Priming | Unpainted surfaces:
Remove all dirt and dust carefully to obtain good adhesion. Treat knots with Oksalakka Knotting Lacquer. Prime new wood and wood fibre board surfaces with Feelings Furniture Primer or Otex adhesion primer. Prime metal surfaces with Rostex Super Akva or Rostex Super metal primer. Prime absorbent surfaces first with a primer thinned with 5-10%, and sand. Prime surface after that with an unthinned primer. Previously painted surfaces: Wash down previously painted surfaces with Maalipesu Cleaning Agent and rinse carefully with water. Remove loose, flaking paint with a scraper and sand hard, glossy and industrially painted surfaces matt. Remove sanding dust. Fill holes and cracks with Presto Furniture Putty or Rapid Filler and sand the filled parts. Prime with Feelings Furniture Primer or Otex adhesion primer, metal surfaces with Rostex Super Akva or Rostex Super metal primer. |

| Painting | Stir Feelings Furniture Paint well before use and thin with water, if necessary. Apply by brush, roller, paint pad, or spray 1-2 times. Apply on large surfaces with e.g. a mohair roller and level with a brush. Multi-branched synthetic brushes are best suited for the work. | |
| Cleaning of tools | Remove excess paint from tools. Clean tools with water. Tikkurila Pensselipesu (Tool Cleaner) is recommended to be used to remove a bit hardened paint. | |
| Maintenance instructions | Cleaning earliest approx. 1 month after painting: The surfaces are cleaned with a soft brush, sponge or cleaning cloth and neutral (pH 6-8) dish washing solution. Clean very dirty surfaces with weakly alkaline (pH 8-10) washing detergent and e.g. cleaning cloth or sponge. Rinse the surface carefully.
The product achieves its final hardness and durability after one month under normal conditions, therefore the surfaces must be handled with care during a couple of weeks. If the surfaces need to be cleaned soon after finishing, clean them lightly with a soft brush or damp cleaning cloth. |

| Maintenance treatment | If the surface was previously painted with Feelings Furniture Paint, then maintenance painting can be carried out without priming. See Pretreatment.
Note! If alkyd primer is used as a primer, the final adhesion into the primer is achieved after 2 weeks from the finishing painting. During this time avoid e.g. the usage of masking tape. |
