APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions The surface to be treated must be dry, the temperature of the air at least +15 °C, and the relative humidity of the air below 85 %. Wallpaper and glue need to be allowed to warm up to normal room temperature before hanging. Normal indoor temperature and good ventilation are important to allow the wallpaper to dry in about a day.
Preparation Remove old loose wallpaper and paint as well as textured wallpapers and the plastic surface of the vinyl wallpapers. Fill uneven areas with a suitable Presto Filler. Prime porous substrates with e.g. Varma Primer or prime with Duett glue thinned 1:1 with water. Paint dark or multi-colored substrates with Varma Primer or Duett Paint to the color of the wallpaper.
Wash down previously painted surfaces with diluted Maalipesu Detergent and rinse carefully with water.
Wallpapering Check that all rolls have the same batch number.
Make a vertical line on the wall for the first wallpaper length. Apply glue onto the wall, covering the equivalent of 1.5–2.5 wallpaper widths at a time. Place the roll in the tray and apply the wallpaper directly to the pasted wall. Carefully smooth out the wallpaper moving from top to bottom using a plastic spatula, and be careful not to leave any air bubbles. Cut the top and bottom edges with a wallpaper knife. Hang the next wallpaper length in a so-called butted seam (i.e. just touching not overlapping). Possible pattern alignment is marked on the wallpaper label.
Wipe off the excess glue squeezed from the seams with a clean and fairly damp sponge. The sponge should be rinsed often. Wallpaper with a straight alignment is marked with a pair of scissors on the back to make it easier to cut the lengths.

Note! Wallpaper is easier to handle in the corners, if it is lightly moistened with water.

Maintenance instructions Remove stains with a cloth dampened with warm water using a mild detergent solution. Rinse well and wipe the surface dry. Avoid getting water in the seams.
