APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions The surface to be treated must be dry, the temperature of the air at least 10 ºC, and the relative humidity of the air below 80 %.
Preparation Remove all dirt and dust. Rough wooden surfaces can be sanded before treatment.Wet the surface slightly with a sponge or a mop. After the surface has dried, sand the raised wood fibres. Remove sanding dust.
Lacquering Stir Panel-Ace Log Treatment thoroughly before use and occasionally during application to ensure that the colourant/flatting agent is well mixed in the lacquer. Thin with water, if necessary. Apply the lacquer twice in the direction of the grain. Apply a test coat on a piece of wood to make sure that the colour of the tinted product is correct. The final colour of the surface depends on timber species, hardness of timber, its original colour and the number of treatments. Always thin tinted product 20 – 30 % for the first lacquering. Desired colour and gloss grade are usually achieved after two coats. Treat the entire surface in one go to avoid overlapping, large panel surfaces a few boards at a time.
Cleaning of tools Clean tools with water or with Tikkurila Pensselipesu (Tool Cleaner).
Maintenance instructions 1 month after application:
Clean the surface with neutral cleaning agent (pH 6-8) using a smooth brush, sponge or cleaning cloth. The surface must not be left wet. Very dirty surfaces can be cleaned with a slightly alkaline (pH 8-10) detergent using e.g. a cloth, mop or sponge. Rinse the surface thoroughly.
