APPLICATION DETAILS
Preparation New surfaces:
Fill large cracks, holes and irregularities on concrete, lightweight concrete and plaster surfaces with Presto LG Filler (coarse). Level the whole surface with Presto LH or LF Filler (fine) once or, if needed, twice. Level nail holes, joints or other irregularities on gypsum, chipboard and hardboard with Presto LH or LF Filler (fine). Sand the surface with sand paper and remove sanding dust with a brush.

Previously treated surfaces:
Wash down previously treated surfaces with Maalipesu detergent and rinse off with water. Remove loose paint. Level cracks, holes and other irregularities using a suitable Presto filler. Sand the dry surface. Sand hard and glossy painted surfaces matt and remove sanding dust. Continue treatment following the above instructions.

Wallpapered surfaces:
Remove wallpapering. Level any cracks and holes using Presto LF Filler (fine). Sand and prime the surface. Continue treatment following the above instructions.
Priming Prime porous substrates with one layer of latex paint, e.g Luja Primer. We recommend that the primer be tinted as near as possible to the shade of the topcoat.
Wallpapering DRY PREMISES:
On a dry surface, apply an even layer of adhesive only for the width of the strip at a time. Latex topcoat can be added into the Ässätex adhesive in mixing ratio of 1:1; The mixture will then have a shade near to the shade of the topcoat and it can be used to prime Ässätex. Press Ässätex firmly to the surface using a squeegee. The trimmed edges are applied edge to edge without overlaps. The seam will be clean and invisible. The outside face of the fabric on the roll will be affixed against the wall. The alignment threads of rough patterned fabrics are placed against each other.

HUMID PREMISES:

Luja system:
To level large areas use Presto LV Filler for humid premises. Sand the surface and remove sanding dust. Apply Luja Moisture Stop once on the surface. Let dry 1-4 hours. Fix Ässätex glass-fibre fabric with an adhesive for humid premises according to above instructions and let the adhesive to dry until the next day. Apply Luja Moisture Stop once on the dried adhesive and paint it with Luja topcoat earliest after 4 hours. Paint it again with Luja topcoat after the first coat is dry, earliest after 4 hours.
Finishing Topcoat can be applied as soon as Ässätex has completely dried onto the surface - normally in 12 to 24 hours depending from the circumstances. For a matt finish apply two coats of Eko-Joker or Harmony on surfaces that are not usually washed, for example in bed and living rooms. Surfaces to be frequently washed, for example in kitchens, hallways and staircases, are coated twice with Remontti-Ässä for a semimatt finish or with Luja topcoat for a semigloss or semimatt finish. The first coat should always be a latex paint thinned about 10% with water in order not to reduce the textile effect. For the second coat use unthinned paint as a topcoat.
