| DESCRIPTION | Low-odour waterborne acrylate primer | |
| PRODUCT FEATURES | For use on interior substrates. Offers good adhesion, opacity and grain-filling properties, and provides a first-class foundation for subsequent coats of Feelings Furniture Paint. Feelings Furniture Primer can be used for repainting interior surfaces previously coated with waterborne, alkyd or acid catalysed paints.
Not suitable for repainting of surfaces previously coated with products including nitrocellulose. |

| Application method | Brush, roller or spray application. Polyester and nylon paint brushes are best suited for the application of Feelings Furniture Primer. For airless spray use a 0.013” – 0.015” spray tip. Thinning: if necessary thin by up to 10-5 % with water. |

| APPLICATION DETAILS | ||
| Application conditions | The surface to be painted must be dry, the temperature of the air at least +8 oC, and the relative humidity of the air below 80%.
Lower temperature (approx. +15 ºC) and higher humidity (50-70 % RH) will make the open-time of the paint longer and the work easier. |

| Preparation | Remove all dirt and dust carefully to obtain good adhesion. Treat the knots with Oksalakka (Knotting Lacquer).
Wash down previously painted or lacquered surfaces with Maalipesu Cleaning Agent and rinse carefully with water. Let dry. Remove loose, flaking paint or lacquer with a scraper and sand the whole surface. Remove sanding dust. Fill holes and cracks with Presto Rapid Filler and sand the filled parts. Remove sanding dust. |

| Priming | Stir Feelings Furniture Primer well before use and thin with water, if necessary. Apply by brush, roller, paint pad, or spray.
Apply on large surfaces with e.g. a furniture paint roller and then level with a brush. Multi-branched synthetic brushes are best suited for the work. Prime absorbent surfaces first with primer thinned with 5-10 % water, and sand. After 2 hours paint the surface with unthinned primer. Finishing can be done after 5 hours with Feelings Furniture Paint. |

| Cleaning of tools | CleaRemove excess paint from tools before cleaning with water. Tikkurila Pensselipesu (Tool Cleaner) is recommended for removal of slightly hardened paint. | |
| Maintenance instructions | If needed, at the earliest after approx. 1 month from painting: Clean the surface with a neutral (pH 6-8) diswashing liquid and with soft brush, sponge or cleaning cloth. Clean very dirty surfaces with a lightly alkaline (pH 8-10) diswashing liquid and with cleaning cloth or sponge. Rinse the surface carefully.
The surfaces must be handled with care during few weeks after finishing, because the paint will reach its final hardness in normal circumstances after one month. If the surfaces need to be cleansed soon after finishing they must be cleansed lightly with a soft brush or slightly moist cleaning cloth. |
