| PRODUCT FEATURES | For stopping and puttying of wood, chipboard, fibreboard and metal surfaces indoors and in dry outdoor areas. Highly suitable for use in connection with latex, alkyd, oil or acid-cured paints. Easy to sand and to abrade with water. | |

| APPLICATION DETAILS | ||
| Application conditions | The surface to be treated must be dry, the temperature of the air at least +5ºC, and the relative humidity of the air below 80%. | |
| Preparation | New untreated surfaces:
Remove dirt from the surfaces, brush off dust and loose matter. Adhesion will improve if porous surfaces are primed with Jehu Primer, thinned approx. 10% with White Spirit 1050. Previously treated surfaces: Wash down previously treated surfaces with Cleaning Agent (Maalipesu) and rinse well with water. Remove loose or flaking paint with a scraper. Sand the whole surface and remove sanding dust. |

| Smoothing | Apply with a spatula directly onto metal surfaces. Porous surfaces such as wood, chipboard and fibreboard can be primed before application. Spakkeli Alkyd Putty is not usually thinned when applied with a spatula, but when larger surfaces are treated, it is thinned with White Spirit 1050. Solvent-borne and water-borne primers, undercoats and topcoats may be used on top of Spakkeli Alkyd Putty. | |
