Tikkurila's paints in the Snow Arena in Lithuania 17.02.2012
The steel structures of the winter entertainment complex Snow Arena in Druskininkai, Lithuania were painted with more than 50,000 litres of Tikkurila's coatings. Surface treatment was made with Temacoat RM 40 epoxy paint as a single coat system. Dry film thickness was 200 µm.

Temasolid SC – polyurea-based single-coat paints 16.02.2012
Temasolid SC products are now available in two gloss levels: 60 and 80. These products are particularly suitable for surfaces exposed to stress due to climate conditions and wear and tear, such as construction, excavation and agricultural machinery and other machines and equipment. Due to extremely high solids content, the products can be used cost-efficiently as single-coat paints without a separate primer.

Fontemal – heat-resistant paint 18.10.2011
Fontemal contains a silicone-based binding agent, which enables the product to withstand temperatures of up to 500 ºC. The paint is suitable for steel and aluminium surfaces, and for coating cast-iron fireplace doors and sauna stoves in particular. Other applications include ovens, steel flue pipes, and vehicle exhaust pipes.

For ensuring a nice welcome for travellers, the renovation of the Central Railway Station in Warsaw was started in September 2010. According to the schedule, the main hall will be ready by May 2011, the new façade by October and the platforms totally renovated by December.

Early in the year 2011, the results of many years of design cooperation between Tikkurila and the sculptor Antero Toikka were displayed at Galleria Sculptor in Helsinki. In many of the works seen at the exhibition, titled Day and Night, the artist used steel treated with Tikkurila industrial coatings. Merit Blond - fast drying and non-yellowing lacquers for wood 16.12.2010
Tikkurila have high quality non-yellowing and fast drying acid catalysed lacquers. These two component products are suitable for wooden surfaces such as furniture, kitchen cabinets and doors. Drying to sand time is only 20 to 30 minutes in 50°C temperature. In 70°C temperature, drying to sand time is only 15 to 20 minutes.

Tikkurila added colour to Finnish pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 25.11.2010
Tikkurila provided surface treatment materials for Finland´s pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. The Shanghai World Expo ran from 1 May to 31 October 2010. Finland pavilion Kirnu is an architectural masterpiece designed by Helsinki based JKMM Architects, head architect being Teemu Kurkela. The pavilion is inspired by nature and called Kirnu in Finnish, Giant´s Kettle in English. Kirnu attracted 5,7 million visitors during the six months of World EXPO, which is some 8% of the total amount of 72 million visitors to 192 pavilions.
Tikkurila paints create a refined atmosphere on board a luxury cruise ship 23.11.2010
Building of the hull of the luxury cruise ship Celebrity Eclipse, ordered by cruise line Celebrity Cruises, was begun early 2009 at the shipyard of Meyer Werft GmbH in Papenburg, Germany. The vessel was handed over to its owner in July 2010. The interior decoration work of the ship’s main dining room was carried out by the Finnish Merima, using Tikkurila’s MED-approved paint products.
