Colour Card for Semi-transparent Wood Finishes
Tikkurila’s Semi-transparent Wood Finishes Colour Card is now electronically available on our website. While the shades visible on the computer’s display cannot replace genuine colour samples, they are as close as possible to our original colour samples painted on a pine surface.
The electronic Colour Card, which enables designers to process shades, is an excellent tool due to its RGB values being visible for each semi-transparent colour. This enables processing image files in RGB colour mode.

Card for semi-transparent wood finishes suitable for exterior doors and windows
were originally made on pine. This was in line with the typical lacquer
application procedure for exterior doors and windows: first, tinted Pinja Wood
Stain TCW was applied on the wood surface by dipping. After the surface had
dried, tinted lacquer Pinjalac Solid 30 TCX was sprayed onto it. Akvi Tone
pastes were used for tinting.
Pinja Wood Stain TCW is a rapidly drying water-based primer for wooden surfaces. The primer absorbs well into wood, protecting it from humidity and sunlight. Together with a topcoat lacquer, it reduces wood cracking.
Pinjalac Solid 30 TCX is a water-based elastic exterior lacquer for wooden surfaces. Together with tinting pastes, the lacquer’s UV protective agents reduce the yellowing of wood. The lacquer has a very high viscosity, which enables spraying thick layers.
A typical lacquer application procedure for exterior doors and windows:
1 x tinted Pinja Wood Stain TCW tinted
2 x tinted Pinjalac Solid 30 TCX tinted
