Isolating white primer

• Retards knot bleeding.
• Slows down discolouring of topcoat caused by resins. In order to reach good isolating properties it is recommended to apply two layers.

Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the primer has to be over +18ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70%.
Preparation Wood surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P150–320. Primed surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P320–600. All sanding dust must be removed.
Painting For airless spraying, the product can be thinned approximately 0–5% by water if needed. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.013" and pressure 80–160 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

For air–assisted airless spraying, the product can be thinned approximately 0–5% if needed. Recommended nozzle tip is 0,011"–0,013" and pressure 40–140 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

For conventional spraying the product is thinned approximately 0–5% to the viscosity 60–80s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip is 1.4–1.8 mm and pressure 2–3 bar.

Apply 1–2 times.
Finishing Akvi Top DS 25, Akvi Top FD 30 and Luminol 25.
Mixing of components Stir the paint carefully before use. Avoid flotation. If necessary thin the paint with water.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 37 g/litre of paint.
Maximum VOC content in ready to use paint is 37 g/l.
