Akvilac TIX 25A water-borne one-component acrylate lacquer for interior surfaces.
Akvilac TIX 25 is a thixotropic water-borne lacquer and can be easily apply on vertical surfaces. The lacquer has M1 Building material emission classification for indoor use, and emits extremely low levels of compounds into the atmosphere.
The lacquer dries very fast and has excellent blocking and chemical resistance. Akvilac TIX 25 creates very clear transparent film, and can be used on the top of dark shade stains as well.

Akvilac Tix 25 - Acrylate lacquer
|DESCRIPTION||A water-borne, one-component acrylate lacquer.|
A thixotropic water-borne lacquer with very good wetting properties.
Lacquer film is very clear and on top of dark stain colours final outlook of the lacquer is similar to solvent-borne polyurethane lacquer.
A fast drying lacquer and easy to apply also in vertical position.

Airless spraying, air-assisted airless spraying and conventional spraying.
Application (+23 °C)
Airless spraying application viscosity can be reached with approximately 0–10 % of thinning by volume. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.015" and pressure 100–160 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
Air assisted airless spraying application viscosity can be reached with approximately 0–10 % of thinning by volume. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.015" and pressure 40–120 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
Conventional spraying application viscosity can be reached with approximately 0–10 % thinning by volume. Recommended nozzle tip is 1.4–1.8 mm and pressure 2–3 bar.
Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.

|Application conditions||The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the lacquer has to be over +18ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70%. Good ventilation is needed during drying process.|
|Preparation||Wood surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P150–240. Primed surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P240–600. All sanding dust must be removed before lacquering.|
|Mixing of components||Stir the lacquer carefully before use. Avoid flotation. Thin with water to the viscosity required.|
|Cleaning of tools||Water.|
|EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value||The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 85 g/litre of paint mixture.
VOC content of the paint mixture (thinned 5 % by volume) is 100 g/l.
