PRODUCT DATA SHEET
Fontefacade Structure - Acrylate structured primer
|DESCRIPTION||A water-borne one-component, fast-drying structured acrylate exterior primer.|
Recommended for fast production lines and drying in elevated temperature as well as in room temperature.
|Recommended uses||Suitable for exterior mineral substrates such as fibre-cement flat sheets.|
|Features||Excellent anti-blocking properties.
Good weathering resistance.
Grain size: Max 200 µm
|Colour Cards||The light shades on the Tikkurila Facade colour card.
Avatint tinting system. Only A base paint.
Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.
|Application method||Air-assisted airless spraying or conventional spraying.|
Final mechanical properties are achieved after several days. Drying and recoating times are related to the wet film thickness, thinning, color shade, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.
|Solids volume||50 by volume %
68 by weight %
|Storage||Must not freeze. The best storage temperature is between +15–+25°C.|
|Product code||84V serie|
|Preparation||The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. During application and drying temperature of the air, substrate and paint must be over +10°C and relative humidity of the air below 70%. Good ventilation is also very important.|
|Priming||Fontefacade SC 10, Fontefacade SC 50 and Fontefacade CC 30.|
|Diluting||Paint is recommended to be used without thinning. If needed thin with water max. 5%. Thinning will slow down drying times.|
|Painting||For air-assisted airless spraying, recommended nozzle tip is 0.017"–0.019" and pressure 80–160 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For conventional spraying, the product is thinned approximately 0–5% with water. Recommended nozzle tip is 1.6–1.8 mm and pressure 2–3 bar.
|Cleaning of tools||Water.|
