Application method

Airless, air assisted airless and conventional sraying or curtain coating.

Airless application with the viscosity 25–50s (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 5–20 % of thinning. Nozzle tip 0.011"–0.015" and the nozzle pressure 80–140 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

Air assisted airless application with the viscosity 25–50s (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 5–20 % of thinning. Nozzle tip 0.011"–0.015" and the nozzle pressure 40–120 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

Conventional application with the viscosity 20–25s (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 10–20 % thinning. Nozzle tip 1.4–1.8 mm and the nozzle pressure

2–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the primer has to be over 18 ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70 %.
Preparation Wood material must be sanded with sanding paper P150–240. Sanding between primer and top coat can be done with sanding paper P240–400. All sanding dust must be removed before painting.
Painting Dicco Flex (exterior), Novipur 30 and 100 (interior).
Mixing of components Stir the paint carefully. Add 20 % by volume Hardener 007 1255 and mix again carefully. Thin the paint to the viscosity required.

Do not use iron containers as mixing container. Instead use plastic, enamel or acid resistant steel containers.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 500 g/litre of paint.
VOC content of the paint mixture (thinned 20 % by volume) is 550 g/l.

HEALTH AND SAFETY LABELLING
according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008
Containers are provided with safety labels, which should be observed. Further information about hazardous influences and protection are detailed in individual health and safety data sheets. A health and safety data sheet is available on request from Tikkurila Oyj. For industrial use only.
