The coverage of the paint on rough surfaces
The coverage of the paint on smooth surfaces

Fast-drying paint with excellent hiding properties

Diccoplast 30 is a traditional paint for various application areas. The solid content of the paint is
high, and it has good filling and hiding power. The finished paint surface gives an impression of fullness and high quality, also colors collection is wide.

MED-approved paint

Diccoplast 30 has MED (Marine Equipment Directive) certificate no VTT-C-11165-15-14 or can be used in the ship, because of low flame-spread characteristics and not producing excessive quantities of smoke and toxic products.

Diccoplast 30 is mostly used for:

Stain, lacquer and paint systems for wood industries

Application method

For airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 5–20% to the viscosity 25–50s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.015" and pressure 80–140 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

For air–assisted airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 5–20% to the viscosity 25–50s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.015" and  pressure 40–120 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3  bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

For conventional spraying, the product is thinned approximately 10–20% to the viscosity 20–50s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip is 1.4–1.8 mm and  pressure 2–3 bar.

Application conditions The surface to be painted has to be clean and dry. During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the paint has to be over 18 ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70 %.
Preparation Wood surface must be sanded with sanding paper P150–240. Sanding between primer and top coat can be done with sanding paper P240–400. All sanding dust must be removed before painting.
Priming Diccoplast Primer and Diccoplast Plus Tix.
Mixing of components Stir the paint carefully before use. Add 10 volume % of Hardener 006 2098, Hardener 006 2093 or Hardener 006 2096. Thin the paint to the viscosity required with Thinner 1027 or 1033.

Do not use iron containers as mixing container. Instead use plastic, enamel or acid resistant steel containers.
Cleaning of tools Thinner 1027 or 1033.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 380 g/litre of paint mixture.
VOC content of the paint mixture (thinned 20 % by volume) is 450 g/l.
VOC 2004/42/EC (catA/j) 500 g/l (2010)

according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008
