Application method

Airless spraying application the viscosity 40–60 seconds (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 0–5 % of thinning by volume. Nozzle tip 0.009"–0.013" is recommended to use with the pressure of 80–160 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

Air assisted airless application the viscosity 40–60 seconds (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 0–5 % of thinning by volume. Nozzle tip 0.009"–0.015" is recommended to use with the pressure 40–140 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 2 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

Conventional application the viscosity 40–60 s (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 0–5 % thinning by volume. Nozzle tip 1.4–1.8 mm is recommended to use with the pressure 2–3 bar.
Drying times

Drying times (100  g/m2)

Dry to sand immediately after UV-curing.

Dry to stack immediately after UV-curing.

Flash Off 1-3 minutes needed before conventional drying. Flash off times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.

Required UV-energy: Dry to stack after 600 mJ/cm2 UV-A dose according to EIT UV Power View measuring equipment. For drying needed UV-oven with f.ex. Mercury lamps. The number of lamps depends of the power and line speed.
Solids volume 32 ± 2 % by volume, 28 ± 2 % by weight.
Density 1.0 kg/litre.
Storage 12 months (+23 ºC).
Product code 005 3330

APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions The surface to be lacquered has to be clean and dry. During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the lacquer has to be over 18 ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70 %.
Surface treatment Wood surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P150–240. Primed surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P240-600. All sanding dust must be removed.
Mixing of components Stir the lacquer carefully before use. Thin the lacquer to the viscosity required with water. Do not use iron containers as mixing container. Instead use plastic, enamel or acid resistant steel containers.
Cleaning of tools Water.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value The Volatile Organic Compounds amount to 35 g/litre of paint.
