Application method

Air assisted airless and conventional spraying.

Air assisted airless application with the viscosity 25–50 s (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 5–20 % of thinning. Nozzle tip 0.011"–0.015" and the nozzle pressure

40–140 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

Conventional application with the viscosity 20–25 s (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 10–20 % thinning. Nozzle tip 1.4–1.8 mm and the nozzle pressure

 2–3 bar.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions The surface to be painted has to be clean and dry. During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the paint has to be over 18ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70%.
Preparation Wood surface must be sanded with sanding paper P150–240. Sanding between primer and top coat can be done with sanding paper P240–400. All sanding dust must be removed before painting.
Priming Diccoplast Primer and Diccoplast Plus Tix.
Mixing of components Stir the paint carefully before use. Add 10 volume % of Hardener 006 2098, Hardener 006 2093 or Hardener 006 2096. Thin the paint to the viscosity required with Thinner 1027 or 1033.

Do not use iron containers as mixing container. Instead use plastic, enamel or acid resistant steel containers.
Cleaning of tools Thinner 1027, 1025 or 1033.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 390 g/litre of paint mixture.
VOC content of the paint mixture (thinned 20 % by volume) is 450 g/l.
VOC 2004/42/EC (catA/j) 500 g/l (2010)
