DESCRIPTION A water-borne wax.
PRODUCT FEATURES

A fast-drying wax for different kinds of interior wood applications.

Colour Range AVATINT and AKVI TONE tinting.

Emission classification The wax does not contain free formaldehyde and after drying it does not emit formaldehyde to the environment.
Coverage

8 - 10 m2/l (100 µm).

Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.

 


Thinner Water
Application method Roller coating, spraying and brushing.
Drying times

Drying times (100 - 120 g/m2)


Dry to polish after 1 - 10 min (50 ºC).

 

Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.

 

Solids volume abt. 19 % by volume, abt. 30 % by weight (379 0201)
Density 1.0 - 1.2 kg / l
Product code 379-series, 379 0201 (white).

APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions The surface to be treated must be dry and the moisture content of the wood should be below 18 %. During treatment and drying the temperature of the air, wax, surface and wood finish has to be at least 18 ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70 %.
Painting Stir the wax before use and thin with water if necessary.
Cleaning of tools Water.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value AKVIWAX 0201, 379 0201
The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 50 g/l of wax.
Maximum VOC content in ready to use wax (thinned 10 % by volume) is 90 g/l.
