Akviwax - Water-borne wax
|DESCRIPTION||A water-borne wax.|
A fast-drying wax for different kinds of interior wood applications.
|Colour Range||AVATINT and AKVI TONE tinting.|
|Emission classification||The wax does not contain free formaldehyde and after drying it does not emit formaldehyde to the environment.|
8 - 10 m2/l (100 µm).Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.
|Application method||Roller coating, spraying and brushing.|
Drying times (100 - 120 g/m2)
Dry to polish after 1 - 10 min (50 ºC).
Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.

|Density||1.0 - 1.2 kg / l|

|Application conditions||The surface to be treated must be dry and the moisture content of the wood should be below 18 %. During treatment and drying the temperature of the air, wax, surface and wood finish has to be at least 18 ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70 %.|
|Painting||Stir the wax before use and thin with water if necessary.|
|Cleaning of tools||Water.|

The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 50 g/l of wax.
Maximum VOC content in ready to use wax (thinned 10 % by volume) is 90 g/l.
