DESCRIPTION A high-build silicone-aluminium paint.
PRODUCT FEATURES Recommended for exteriors of steel structures exposed to high temperatures.
Recommended uses Suitable for fireplace doors, flues, exhaust pipes, sauna stoves and other hot metal surfaces.

Features Resistant to temperatures up to + 650 ºC dry heat on steel without primer and + 400 ºC when applied over a zinc silicate paint. Can be applied by airless spray equipment.
Colour Range Aluminium. Metallic lustre.

Final cure and hardness will be obtained by curing at + 230 ºC, 1 h.

Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.

Application conditions All surfaces must be dry. The temperature of the ambient air, surface or paint should not fall below + 5 ºC during application. Relative humidity should not exceed 80 %. The surface temperature of the steel should remain at least 3 ºC above the dew point.
Preparation Oil, grease, salts and dirt are removed by appropriate means. (ISO 12944-4)

Steel surfaces: Blast clean to grade Sa2½. (ISO 8501-1) If blast cleaning is not possible, phosphating is recommended for cold rolled steel to improve adhesion.

Zinc silicate surfaces: Oil, grease, salt and dirt are removed from the surface by appropriate means. Repair any damage to the primer coat. Note the over-coating time of the primer. (ISO 12944-4)
Priming TEMASIL 90.
Finishing TEMAL 600 HB.
Painting By airless or conventional spray or by brush. Mix the paint thoroughly before use. Depending on the application method the paint can be thinned 0 - 10 %. Airless spray nozzle tip 0.011" - 0.013" and nozzle pressure 120 - 160 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
Cleaning of tools Thinner 1006.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 565 g/litre of paint.
VOC of the paint (thinned 10 % by volume) is 595 g/l.
