Easy to apply by brush

An easy-to-apply alkyd topcoat, that has been especially developed for on-site painting of bridges, exterior surfaces of tanks and different kind of steel structures. It is also suitable for roofs.

DESCRIPTION A one-component glossy alkyd topcoat.
PRODUCT FEATURES A glossy alkyd based topcoat for metal surfaces indoors and outdoors. Good gloss and colour retention also in industrial climate. Application also by brush. Can also be used on wood.
Recommended uses Recommended especially for on-site painting of bridges, storage tank exteriors, structural steel and other steel surfaces.

Colour Cards RAL, NCS, SSG, BS, MONICOLOR NOVA and SYMPHONY colour cards. TEMASPEED tinting.

Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.

Application conditions All surfaces must be dry. The temperature of the ambient air, surface or paint should not fall below + 5 ºC during application and drying. Relative humidity should not exceed 80 %. The surface temperature of the steel should remain at least 3 ºC above the dew point.
Preparation Primed surfaces: Oil, grease, salt and dirt are removed from the surface by appropriate means. Repair any damage to the primer coat. Note the overcoating time of primer. (ISO 12944-4)
Priming Temaprime AB, Temaprime EE, Temaprime EUR, Temaprime GF, Temaprime ML and Fontecryl 10.
Finishing Temalac AB 70.
Note! Use of Thinner 1006 is recommended when overcoating on Temaprime EE, EUR, GF and ML.
Painting By airless or conventional spray or by brush. Mix the paint thoroughly before use. At airless spray application the paint should be thinned 0 - 15 %. Airless spray nozzle tip 0.011" - 0.015" and nozzle pressure 120 - 160 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object. At conventional spray application the paint should be thinned 20 - 25 %.
Cleaning of tools Thinner 1050 or Thinner 1006.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 400 g/litre of paint.
VOC content of the paint (thinned 25 % by volume) is 496 g/l.
