Pinjasol Color
DESCRIPTION A semi-transparent tintable wood stain.


Recommended uses Suitable for wooden surfaces such as window frames, front doors, wall boards, log cabins etc.

Features Protects the surface against moisture, sunlight and dirt. Decreases cracking of wood surface.
Gloss level of this stain cannot be defined. Pinjasol Color is absorbed into the wood and does not form a solid film.
Colour Cards Temaspeed Premium tinting system. Limited range of colors according to Valtti Color color card.
Gloss groups undefined

8 - 10 m2/l (100 μm).


Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.

Application method

Dip coating and airless spraying.


For airless spraying the recommended nozzle tip is 0.013"–0.015" and pressure

120–180 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

If needed product can be thinned up to 10% with Thinner 1050.


For dip coating the product can be thinned up to 10% with Thinner 1050.

Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.

Application conditions The surface to be coated has to be clean and dry. The moisture content of the wood should be below 20%. During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the product has to be over +5ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 80%.
Preparation Untreated surfaces:
Clean surface from dirt, dust and loose material. Assure that surface is free from mould and blue stain.

Mixing of components Stir the product carefully. The product is ready for use.
Cleaning of tools Thinner 1050.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 730 g/l.
Maximum VOC content in ready to use oil is 730 g/l.
If thinned maximum VOC content is 740 g/l.
