APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions
The surface to be coated must be dry, the temperature of the air and surface at least +5 °C, and the relative humidity of the air below 80 %.
Preparation
Always investigate the condition of the asbestos-treated substrate or asbestos-cement. Avoid encapsulation of asbestos substrates in bad condition and where the substrate is exposed to mechanical wear.
Painting
Sanitation - sealing of asbestos
After removal of asbestos, vacuum clean all asbestos covered surfaces well, before spraying the surfaces with a thin layer of ProSeal (10m²/l) to seal remaining dust.

Encapsulation
Stir AsbestGuard well before use. The product is ready to use andshould not be diluted.

Asbestos-sprayed surfaces
Vacuum clean all asbestos covered surfaces well. Spray the surface with a thin layer of ProSeal (5m²/l) to seal remaining dust.
Encapsulate the surface by applying AsbestGuard 2 times by airless spray 0,5-1m²/l (or 1-2kg/m²) for even surfaces. For coarse surface,
consumption should be increased.

Asbestos-cement boards
If the boards are in good condition, make sure the surface is clean from dirt and grease. Spray the surface with a thin layer of ProSeal (10m²/l) to seal remaining dust.
Encapsulate the surface by applying AsbestGuard 1 time by airless spray 1m²/l (or 1 kg/m²).

Pipes
Clean the surface and repair damages where needed. Spray the surface with a thin layer of ProSeal (10m²/l) to seal remaining dust.
Encapsulate the surface by applying AsbestGuard 2 times by airless spray application 0,5-1m²/l (1-2kg/m² ).
Cleaning of tools
Remove excess coating from tools, and clean them with water.
Tikkurila Tool Cleaner is recommended for removing hardened coating from tools.
Maintenance instructions
Avoid high-pressure cleaning.
