Tikkurila Coatings has for many years resolutely developed its products to meet the requirements of timber construction and markets. The result is the Pinja product family, which meets the various needs of the building trade, sawmill industry and end-users.

Claddings treated with Pinja products are user-friendly and their maintenance and repainting are easy. Environmental hazards caused by the eradication of panels have been minimized.

Wooden surfaces need external protection

Wood is exposed to different kinds of external environmental factors. Sunlight, temperature changes, humidity and various mechanical and biological factors put stress on wood. The same factors impose themselves on surface treatment, the process that gives wooden surfaces colour and protects them from external stresses.

Good result requires right conditions and application methods

When priming is done at the factory under controlled, optimized conditions, the weather and other stress factors cannot affect the result. This prolongs the lifetime of claddings significantly and the finishing quality is homogenous.

• The surface treatment is pigmented and thus protects the surface from sunlight and prevents aging caused by light.
