TECHNICAL DATA
Features
Colour Range Clear.
Colour Cards Different colours can achieved by using Akvi Color stains under lacquer film.
Gloss groups Semi-matt
Gloss measurement standard ISO 2813/60º
Coverage

9,1 m²/l with 35 µm DFT, without thinning and applicated 93 g/m² wet weight.

Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.
Thinner Water
Application method

Airless spraying application with the viscosity 50 - 70 seconds (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 0 -5 % of thinning by volume. Nozzle tip 0.011" to 0.015" is recommended to use with the pressure of 100 - 160 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

Air assisted airless application with the viscosity 50 - 70 seconds (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 0 -5 % of thinning by volume. Nozzle tip 0.011" - 0.015" is recommended to use with the pressure 40 - 140 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 2 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

Conventional application with the viscosity 50 - 70 s (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 0 - 5 % thinning by volume. Nozzle tip 1.4 - 1.8 mm is recommended to use with the pressure 2,0 - 3,0 bar.
Drying times

Drying times (100 - 120 g/m2)

Dry to sand immediately after UV-curing.

Dry to stack immediately after UV-curing.

Flash Off 2-4 minutes needed before conventional drying. Flash off times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation. Drying time is related to the UV-energy.
Solids volume 32 ± 2 % by volume, 29± 2 % by weight.
Density 1.0 kg/litre.
Storage 12 months (+23 ºC).
Product code 005 3330

APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions The surface to be lacquered has to be clean and dry. During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the lacquer has to be over 18 ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70 %.
Surface treatment Wood surfaces must be sanded with roughness P150 - 240. All sanding dust must be removed with f.ex. air exhauster.
Mixing of components Stir the lacquer carefully before use. Thin the lacquer to the viscosity required with water. Do not use iron containers as mixing container. Instead use plastic, enamel or acid resistant steel containers.
Cleaning of tools Water.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value Maximum VOC content in ready to use mixture is 30 g/l.

For industrial use only.

HEALTH AND SAFETY CLASSIFICATION
Containers are provided with safety labels, which should be observed. Further information about hazardous influences and protection are detailed in individual health and safety data sheets. A health and safety data sheet is available on request from Tikkurila Oyj.
