I am interested in pattern painting but I don’t really trust my own skills. Can an ordinary DIY painter do it properly?
Pattern painting is fully within your capabilities, as long as you remember a few guidelines. Practice your technique first on a test surface such as cardboard. Use foam rubber or masking tape to make a stippler. Dip the stippler in paint and remove any excess paint by dabbing it on paper. If there is too much paint in the stippler, it tends to accumulate between the stencil and the wall and makes the finish look untidy.

Since only a small amount of paint is needed for pattern painting, it is advisable to buy a small paint tin as possible. Ideal pattern paints include Harmony and Feelings Interior Paint, as well as semi-matt and semi-gloss Feelings Extra Durable.
