CE marking for some of Tikkurila's products
The EU Construction Products Regulation requires CE marking for certain paints, mortars, levelling and coating products.
The EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR) became effective on 1 July 2013. CE marking will thus become mandatory for all construction products for which there is an adopted harmonised product standard after the entry date set by the European Commission. Products that will be placed on the market after 1 July 2013, will have to be properly marked. The CE marking consists of the product’s CE marking and the Declaration of Performance (DoP) related to it.
Later on, there will be products under the CPR but without CE marking on the market. This is due to the fact that the producer has placed the products on the market, e.g. to retailers or wholesalers, before 1 July 2013.
CE marking concerns the following product groups:
- internal plasters
- jointing materials for gypsum plasterboards
- decorative wall coverings
- external renders
- products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures
- cement and lime cement based mortars and fillers
- screed material and floor screeds
Declaration of Performance (DoP) can be found in the Product Data Sheets.
