APPLICATION DETAILS | ||
Application conditions | The surface to be painted must be dry, the temperature of the air at least +5ºC, and the relative humidity of the air below 80 %.
Priming | Unpainted surfaces:
Wash surfaces requiring special adhesion with Maalipesu cleaning agent and rinse carefully with water. Sand matt. Remove sanding dust. Previously painted surfaces: Wash down previously painted surfaces with Maalipesu cleaning agent and rinse carefully with water. Sand the surface matt. Remove sanding dust. |
|
Painting | Stir Otex well before use and thin, if necessary, for brush application with White Spirit 1050, and for spray application with Spray thinner 1032. Apply Otex by brush, roller or spray.
Otex adhesion primer levels well, so sanding is often unnecessary. When a very smooth surface is preferred sand with a fine dry sanding paper. |
|
Cleaning of tools | Clean tools with White Spirit 1050 or Tikkurila Pensselipesu (Tool Cleaner).
Maintenance instructions | Handle the surface with care, ultimate durability and hardness is reached in approx. a month under normal circumstances. If cleansing is needed, use a soft brush or a damp cleaning cloth.
Clean the surface at the earliest after 1 month from painting, if necessary. Use a neutral (pH 6-8) dishwashing agent and a soft brush, sponge or a dust rag. Soiled surfaces can be cleansed with a cleaning cloth or sponge using a neutral (pH 8-10) detergent. Rinse surface carefully after maintenance. |
