Description
Sealing alkyd primer for interior painting.

Base paints

Colour Range
Can be tinted to all colours of Tikkurila Symphony 2436 colour card. Use only half of the colourant amount of the Symphony shade formula. The shade accuracy is not perfect.
AP base paint can be used as white and tinted.

Dust dry after 1 hour. Ready to sand and recoat after 24 hours.

Unaffected either by cold storage or transport. Poorly closed or short canisters do not endure long storing.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions
The surface must be thoroughly dry. The temperature of the air should be at least +5°C, and the relative humidity of the air below 80%.
Preparation
Unpainted surfaces:
Remove dirt and dust from the surface. Treat knots with Oksalakka Knotting Lacquer.

Previously painted surfaces:
Wash down previously painted surfaces with Cleaning Agent (Maalipesu) and rinse carefully with water. Fill holes and cracks with Presto Furniture Filler or Lakkakitti Lacquer Putty. Sand the filled sports and remove sanding dust.
Priming
Stir Jehu Primer well and thin with approx. 5 % Alkyd Thinner 2010 for priming of wooden surfaces. Jehu Primer does not normally need to be thinned for the next coat or for grinding painting. Apply Jehu by brush or roller.

Cleaning of tools
Clean tools with White Spirit 1050 or Tikkurila Tool Cleaner.
Maintenance instructions
If needed, clean at the earliest approx. 1 month after the painting work.
Clean surface with a neutral (pH 6-8) dishwashing agent and a soft brush, sponge or a dust rag. Very dirty surfaces can be cleansed with a cleaning cloth or sponge using a weakly alkaline (pH 8-10) detergent. Rinse surface carefully after maintenance.

Handle the surface with care, ultimate durability and hardness is reached in approx. a month under normal circumstances. If cleansing is needed soon after the treatment, gently clean with a soft brush or a damp cleaning cloth.

ENVIRONMENTAL and WASTE DISPOSAL
Avoid spillage into drains, water systems and soil. Recycle empty, dry cans or dispose them of in accordance with local regulations. Destroy liquid waste according to the local regulations for hazardous waste.
