Excellent filling properties

Colowood is a water-borne widely used filler for filling holes in interior wooden surafecs such as fibre boards, solid wood or veneer.

It is an excellent solution for furniture, doors and panels.

Ten standard wood colors

There are 10 different wood colors for choice: birch, birch knot, pine, pine knot, oak, oak knot, beech, white, mahogany and black. And all are they really close to the color of natural wood.

Practical coverage depends on the application method, conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be treated.

Thinner Water
Application method By spatula.
Drying times

Thin filling layer can be sanded after 4 hours and deeper filling layer after 24 hours.

Solids volume Abt. 64±2 % by volume, 82±2 % by weight.
Density 2,0 ± 0,2 kg/ kg/litre

Application conditions The surface to be treated must be dry, the temperature of the air at least +5ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 80%.
Preparation Remove dirt from the surface. Brush away dust and loose material.

Application Apply with a spatula. Thin with water, if necessary. Fill large holes preferably twice or several times. Sand the surface and remove sanding dust.
Surface treatment Can be recoated with Tikkurila's water-borne, water-borne UV and solvent-borne products.
Mixing of components Thin filler to the viscosity required.
Cleaning of tools Water.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 22 g/litre of putty.
VOC content of the putty (thinned 10 % by volume) is 20 g/l.
