APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. The moisture content of wood has to be below 18%. During application temperature of the air, substrate and paint must be over +18°C and relative humidity of the air below 80%. Good ventilation is required to ensure optimal result. Product is recommended to be dried in oven.
Preparation Remove dust, loose particles and other impurities from the surface. Wood surfaces must be sanded with sandpaper P150–240. Sanding prior to the next application with sandpaper P240–400. All sanding dust must be removed.
Painting For airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 10–20% to the viscosity
25–60s (DIN 4). Nozzle tip 0.011"–0.015" and the nozzle pressure 80–140 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

For air-assisted airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 5–20% to the viscosity 25–60s (DIN 4). Nozzle tip 0.011"–0.015" and the nozzle pressure 40–120 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

For conventional spraying, the product is thinned approximately 10–20% to the viscosity 25–40s (DIN 4). Nozzle tip 1.4–1.8 mm and the nozzle pressure 2–3 bar.

For curtain coating the product is thinned approximately 5–10% to the viscosity 40–50s (DIN4). Avoid too high pumping pressure and flowing speed.
Overcoating Dicco Astral 35.
Mixing of components First stir base and hardener separately. The correct proportions of base and hardener must be mixed thoroughly before use. Use power mixer for mixing. Insufficient mixing or incorrect mixing ratio will result in uneven drying of the surface and weaken the properties of the coating.

Do not use iron containers as mixing container. Instead use plastic, enamel or acid resistant steel containers.

In case the paint mixture is used on the next day, add at least an equal amount of fresh paint mixture.
Cleaning of tools Thinner 1035 or 1058.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 460 g/litre of paint.
Maximum VOC content in ready to use paint (thinned 20% by volume) is 530 g/l.

HEALTH AND SAFETY LABELLING
