Diccoplast 30 - Durable high-quality topcoat
Diccoplast 30A two-component acid-catalyzed topcoat for interior surfaces.
Fast-drying paint with excellent hiding properties
Diccoplast 30 is a traditional paint for various application areas. The solid content of the paint is
high, and it has good filling and hiding power. The finished paint surface gives an impression of fullness and high quality, also colors collection is wide.
Diccoplast 30 has MED (Marine Equipment Directive) certificate no VTT-C-11165-15-14 or can be used in the ship, because of low flame-spread characteristics and not producing excessive quantities of smoke and toxic products.
Diccoplast 30 is mostly used for:

Diccoplast 30 - Acid-catalyzed topcoat
|DESCRIPTION||A two-component acid-catalyzed topcoat.|
A fast-drying, durable paint with good filling properties for indoor use.
|Recommended uses||Suitable for furniture, doors and other wooden and fibre board surfaces.|
|Features||The product has MED (Marine Equipment Directive) certificate no VTT-C-11164-15-14 and is thus accepted for painting surfaces inside the ships.
|Colour Range||Special colors white 201 and black 202.|
|Colour Cards||RAL, NCS, SSG, BS, MONICOLOR NOVA and SYMPHONY colour cards. TEMASPEED PREMIUM tinting.|
|Emission classification||The emission level of this product fulfils the requirements of E1 classification for surface treatment materials. The product has been tested according to the standard EN 717-1, and its formaldehyde emission rate is less than 0.124 mg/m3 air.|
Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.
|Thinner||1027 and 1033|
|Mixing ratio||Paint 100 parts by volume 754-serie
Hardener 10 parts by volume 006 2098
For airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 5–20% to the viscosity 25–50s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.015" and pressure 80–140 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For air–assisted airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 5–20% to the viscosity 25–50s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.015" and pressure 40–120 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For conventional spraying, the product is thinned approximately 10–20% to the viscosity 20–50s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip is 1.4–1.8 mm and pressure 2–3 bar.
|Pot-life (+23°C)||48 hours.|
Stacking temperature below +35 ºC.
Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.
|Solids volume||60±2 % by volume
74±2 % by weight
|Product code||Base paint 754 series, hardener 006 2098.|
|MED Certificate||VTT C 11164 15 14 Diccoplast 30|
|Application conditions||The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. The moisture content of wood has to be below 18%. During application and drying temperature of the air, substrate and paint must be over +18°C and relative humidity of the air below 70%. Good ventilation is required to ensure optimal result. Product can be dried with or without oven.|
|Preparation||Remove dust, loose particles and other impurities from the surface.
Wood surfaces must be sanded with sandpaper P150–240. Sanding prior to the next application with sandpaper P240–400. All sanding dust must be removed.
|Priming||Diccoplast Primer and Diccoplast Plus Tix.|
|Mixing of components||First stir base and hardener separately. The correct proportions of base and hardener must be mixed thoroughly before use. Use power mixer for mixing. Insufficient mixing or incorrect mixing ratio will result in uneven drying of the surface and weaken the properties of the coating.
Do not use iron containers as mixing container. Instead use plastic, enamel or acid resistant steel containers.
|Cleaning of tools||Thinner 1027 or 1033.|
|EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value||The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 380 g/litre of paint mixture.
VOC content of the paint mixture (thinned 20% by volume) is 450 g/l.
VOC 2004/42/EC (cat A/j) 500 g/l (2010)
