Diccoplast Plus TIX - Easy to apply primer
Diccoplast Plus TIXA two-component acid-catalyzed primer for interior surfaces.
Thixotropic paint with excellent filling properties
Diccoplast Plus TIX is used for vertical application, because it is a thixotropic primer and it has not a tendency to sag, when applied on vertical surfaces. The primer has excellent filling properties.
Aromatic solvent free
Diccoplast Plus TIX does not contain aromatic solvents and it is easy to sand.
Diccoplast Plus TIX is mostly used for:

PRODUCT DATA SHEET
Diccoplast Plus Tix - Acid-catalyzed primer
|DESCRIPTION||A two-component acid-catalyzed primer.|
A fast drying, thixotropic paint for interior use.
Good filling and sanding properties.
|Recommended uses||Recommended for furniture, doors and other interior wooden and fibre board surfaces.|
|Features||Thixotropic. Does not contain aromatic solvents.|
|Emission classification||The emission level of this product fulfils the requirements of E1 classification for surface treatment materials. The product has been tested according to the standard EN 717-1, and its formaldehyde emission rate is less than 0.124 mg/m3 air.|
Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.
|Thinner||1027 and 1033|
|Mixing ratio||Base 100 parts by volume 007 5334
Hardener 10 parts by volume 006 2098
Airless application with the viscosity 25–50 s (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 5–20 % of thinning. Nozzle tip 0.011"–0.015" and the nozzle pressure 80–180 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
Air assisted airless application with the viscosity 25–50 s (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 5–20 % of thinning. Nozzle tip 0.011"–0.015" and the nozzle pressure 40–120 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
Conventional application with the viscosity 20–50 s (DIN 4) can be reached with approximately 10–20 % thinning. Nozzle tip 1.4–1.8 mm and the nozzle pressure2–3 bar.
|Pot-life (+23°C)||48 hours.|
Stacking temperature below+ 35 ºC.
Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.
|Solids volume||57±2 % by volume
73±2 % by weight
|Density||1.4 kg / litre|
|Product code||007 5334|
|Application conditions||The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the primer has to be over 18 ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70 %.|
|Preparation||Wood material must be sanded with sanding paper P150–240. Sanding between primer and top coat can be done with sanding paper P240–400. All sanding dust must be removed with f.ex. air exhauster.|
|Painting||Diccoplast 30, Diccoplast 80, Diccoplast 30 Tix and Dicco Flex.|
|Mixing of components||Stir the paint carefullybefore use. Add 10 % by volume Hardener 006 2098 and mix again carefully. Thin the paint to the viscosity required with Thinner 1027 or 1033.
Do not use iron containers as mixing container. Instead use plastic, enamel or acid resistant steel containers.
|Cleaning of tools||Thinner 1027 or 1033.|
|EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value||The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 390 g/litre of paint.
Maximum VOC content in ready to use paint (thinned 30 % by volume) is 490 g/l.
VOC 2004/42/EC (catA/j) 500 g/l (2010)
