Luminol 25 - Tintable water-borne UV-curing technology
Thousands of durable colors
Due to the tintability Luminol 25 paints are now the favourite products for e.g. kitchen cabinet producers. They allow you to achieve a broad variety of colors with excellent durability of the surface.
Excellent stacking properties
Luminol paints have been developed for fast production lines. They have excellent stacking properties straight after the oven.
Good abrasion resistance
WB UV-curing products have better chemical, scratch and abrasion resistance than conventional WB products. They are a brilliant choice for interior doors, moldings, the doors of kitchen fittings and
other interior surfaces.

PRODUCT DATA SHEET
|DESCRIPTION||UV-curing, tintable water-borne paint.|
|PRODUCT FEATURES||Wooden interiro surfaces.
|Recommended uses||Recommended for interior doors, moldings, doors of kitchen fittings and other wooden surfaces.|
|Features||• Thousands of durable colors
• Excellent stacking properties
• Good abrasion resistance
• Can be reused because the paint does not dry during painting process.
|Colour Cards||The product belongs to Avatint tinting system.|
Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.
|Application method||Airless spraying, air-assisted airless spraying and conventional spraying.|
Dry to stack immediately after UV curing.
Water should be allowed to flash off before UV curing.
Flash-off time depends on the temperature and the amount and the speed of the air.
Required UV-energy: 500 mJ/cm2 + 500 mJ/cm2. For proper curing use both Gallium and Mercury lamps in UV-curing.
|Solids volume||A-base 34% by volume
C-base 31% by volume
A-base 47% by weight
C-base 38% by weight
|Density||A-base 1.8 kg/litre, C-base 1.1 kg/ltre|
|Product code||157- series|
|Application conditions||The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the lacquer has to be over +18ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70%.|
|Preparation||Remove dust, loose particles and other impurities from the surface. Wood surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P150–240. Primed surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P240–600. All sanding dust must be removed.|
|Priming||Recommended primers/topcoats: Uvicol Primer, Uvinol Sealer HB, Akvi Primer Pro, Akvi Primer DS and Dicco Surf Delfi Beige.|
|Painting||For airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 0–5% to the viscosity
50–120 s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.015" and pressure 80–160 bar. Choose the spray angle according to the shape of the object.
For air–assisted airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 0–5% to the viscosity 50–120 s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.015" and pressure
40–140 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Choose the spray angle according to the shape of the object.
For conventional spraying, the product is thinned approximately 0–10 % to the viscosity 50–70 s (DIN4). Recommended nozzle tip is 1.4–1.8 mm and pressure 2–3 bar.
|Cleaning of tools||Water.|
|EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value||The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 7 g/litre of paint.|
