Fast-drying stain for window system

Pinja Wood Stain is a fast-drying water-borne tintable stain, that is mostly used in window frame system. A stain can be applied by dipping, flow coating, spraying, vacuum or brushing.

Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.
Solids volume abt. 10 % by volume, 11 % by weight.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Application conditions The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. The moisture content of wood has to be below 20%. During application and drying temperature of the air, substrate and paint must be over +18°C and relative humidity of the air below 70%. Good ventilation is required to ensure optimal result. Product can be dried with or without oven.
Preparation Clean surfaces from dirt, dust and loose material. Assure that surface is free from mold and blue stain.
Application Stir the product carefully before use. Avoid making foam. The product is recommended to be used without thinning but can be thinned with water if necessary. Let the product settle down for a while before use.

For airless spraying spraying: nozzle tip 0.009"–0.011" is recommended to be used with pressure of 80–160 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For air-assisted airless spraying: nozzle tip 0.009"–0.011" is recommended to be used with pressure 40–120 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar.
For conventional spraying: nozzle tip 1.0–1.4 mm is recommended to be used with pressure 1.5–3 bar.
For dip and flow coating product is ready to use.

Wood contains resin and other coloring extractives especially in knots. Temperature and humidity fluctuations may cause paint coat discoloration in these areas.
