Pinjalac HB
DESCRIPTION A water-borne acrylate lacquer with good exterior durability.
PRODUCT FEATURES Suitable for window frames, front doors and other wooden surfaces outdoors.
Recommended uses -

Features A flexible exterior lacquer.
The lacquer film is very clear and transparent.
Thixotropic and easy to spray.
Colour Cards Akvi Tone tinting system. Note that whitish colours are not recommended to the wood that has tendency for resin bleeding (e.g. oak). Wood resins can change the original shade.
Gloss groups Semi-gloss

Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.

Application conditions The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. The moisture content of wood has to be below 18%. During application and drying temperature of the air, substrate and paint must be over +18°C and relative humidity of the air below 70%. Good ventilation is required to ensure optimal result. Product can be dried with or without oven.
Preparation Clean surfaces from dirt, dust and loose material. Assure that surface is free from mould and blue stain. Wood surfaces must be sanded with sandpaper P150–240. Sanding prior to the next application with sandpaper P280-400. All sanding dust must be removed.
Priming Pinja Wood Stain.
Lacquering Stir the product carefully before use. Avoid making foam.

For airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 0–10%. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011”–0.015” and pressure 80–160 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

For air-assisted airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 0–10%. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011”–0.015” and pressure 40–120 bar. Atomizing air pressure should be 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

Wood contains resin and other coloring extractives especially in knots. Temperature and humidity fluctuations may cause paint coat discolouration in these areas.
Overcoating Top lacquering: Pinjalac HB.
Surface treatment Wood surfaces must be sanded with roughness P150 - 240. All sanding dust must be removed with f.ex. air exhauster.
Cleaning of tools Water.
EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value Maximum VOC content in ready to use mixture is 20 g/l.
