Temalac SC-F 80 - Alkyd paint
|DESCRIPTION||A glossy high-solids single-coat alkyd paint, containing anti-corrosive pigments.|
|Recommended uses||Recommended for steel framework, service platforms and different types of machinery and equipment.|
|Features||Recommended as a single-coat system for blast cleaned steel surfaces both indoors and outdoors.
|Colour Cards||RAL, NCS, SSG, BS, MONICOLOR NOVA, SYMPHONY, TEMASPEED Tinting|
Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.
|Application method||By air-assisted airless spraying, heated airless or conventional spray.
Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.
|Solids volume||56 ± 2 %. (ISO 3233)
72 ± 2 %.
|Density||1.4 kg / l depending on color.|
|Application conditions||All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from contamination. The temperature of the ambient air, surface and paint should not fall below +5ºC during application and drying. Relative humidity of the air should not exceed 80% during application and drying. The surface temperature of steel should remain at least 3°C above the dew point. Good ventilation and sufficient air movement is required in confined areas during application and drying.|
|Preparation||Oil, grease, salts and dirt are removed by appropriate means. (ISO 12944-4)
Steel surfaces: Blast clean to grade Sa2½. (ISO 8501-1).
Primed surfaces: Oil, grease, salt and dirt are removed from the surface by appropriate means. Repair any damage to the primer coat. Note the overcoating time of primer. (ISO 12944-4)
|Priming||Temalac SC-F 80|
|Finishing||Temalac SC-F 80|
|Painting||In order to obtain an even, non-porous finish, spray a misty coat: first a thin layer, then let the solvents evaporate for 3–5 minutes and then apply the full coat.
Stir the product carefully before use.
For air-assisted airless spraying, product is thinned approximately 5–15%. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.013" and pressure 160–200 bar. Atomising air pressure should be 2 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For heated airless spraying, product is thinned approximately 5–15%. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.011"–0.013" and pressure 160–200 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For conventional spraying, product is thinned approximately 15–20%. Recommended nozzle tip is 1.6-1.8 mm and pressure 3–4 bar.
|Cleaning of tools||Thinner 1006.|
|EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value||The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 400 g/litre of paint.
VOC content in ready to use paint (thinned 20 % by volume) is 480 g/l.
For industrial and professional use only.
