Dicco Surf Color - Acid-catalyzed primer
|DESCRIPTION||A two-component acid-catalyzed primer.|
Especially suitable for fast production lines.
|Recommended uses||Recommended for furniture, doors and other wooden surfaces indoors.|
|Features||A fast-drying paint with good filling and sanding properties.
Does not contain aromatic solvents.
|Colour Cards||Temaspeed Premium tinting.|
|Emission classification||The emission level of this product fulfils the requirements of E1 classification for surface treatment materials. The product has been tested according to the standard EN 717-1, and its formaldehyde emission rate is less than 0.124 mg/m3 air.
Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.
|Thinner||1035 and 1058|
|Mixing ratio||Paint 100 parts by volume 692 7623
Hardener 12 parts by volume 006 2098
|Application method||Airless spaying, air-assisted airless spraying, conventional spraying and curtain coating.
|Pot-life (+23°C)||48 hours.|
Stacking temperature below 35 ºC.
Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.
|Solids volume||44±2 % by volume
59±2 % by weight
|Product code||Paint 692 7623, hardener 006 2098.|
|Application conditions||The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. The moisture content of wood has to be below 18%. During application temperature of the air, substrate and paint must be over +18°C and relative humidity of the air below 80%. Good ventilation is required to ensure optimal result. Product is recommended to be dried in oven.|
|Preparation||Remove dust, loose particles and other impurities from the surface. Wood surfaces must be sanded with sandpaper P150–240. Sanding prior to the next application with sandpaper P240–400. All sanding dust must be removed.|
|Painting||For airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 10–20% to the viscosity
25–60s (DIN 4). Nozzle tip 0.011"–0.015" and the nozzle pressure 80–140 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For air-assisted airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 5–20% to the viscosity 25–60s (DIN 4). Nozzle tip 0.011"–0.015" and the nozzle pressure 40–120 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For conventional spraying, the product is thinned approximately 10–20% to the viscosity 25–40s (DIN 4). Nozzle tip 1.4–1.8 mm and the nozzle pressure 2–3 bar.
For curtain coating the product is thinned approximately 5–10% to the viscosity 40–50s (DIN4). Avoid too high pumping pressure and flowing speed.
|Overcoating||Dicco Astral 35.|
|Mixing of components||First stir base and hardener separately. The correct proportions of base and hardener must be mixed thoroughly before use. Use power mixer for mixing. Insufficient mixing or incorrect mixing ratio will result in uneven drying of the surface and weaken the properties of the coating.
Do not use iron containers as mixing container. Instead use plastic, enamel or acid resistant steel containers.
In case the paint mixture is used on the next day, add at least an equal amount of fresh paint mixture.
|Cleaning of tools||Thinner 1035 or 1058.|
|EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value||The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 460 g/litre of paint.
Maximum VOC content in ready to use paint (thinned 20% by volume) is 530 g/l.
