|Recommended uses||Suitable for exterior wooden panels and claddings.|
|Colour Cards||Avatint tinting. For exterior use it is recommended to use the shades on the House Paint colour card.|
Practical coverage depends on the application method, painting conditions and the shape and roughness of the surface to be coated.
Airless spraying, air-assisted airless spraying, conventional spraying and brushing.
Note! Dark shades made from C base will dry slower.
Drying and recoating times are related to the film thickness, temperature, the relative humidity of the air and ventilation.
|Solids volume||abt. 40 volume-% (A-base)
abt. 37 volume-% (C-base)
abt. 52 weight-% (A-base)
abt. 44 weight-% (C-base)
|Density||1.3 kg / litre (A-base), 1.2 kg / litre (C-base)|
|Application conditions||The surface to be treated has to be clean and dry. The moisture content of wood has to
be below 20%. During application and drying temperature of the air, substrate and paint
must be over +18°C and relative humidity of the air below 70%. Good ventilation is
required to ensure optimal result. Product can be dried with or without oven.
|Preparation||Clean surfaces from dirt, dust and loose material. Assure that surface is free from
mould and blue stain.
|Priming||Recommended primers: Pinja Pro Primer, Pinja Universal Primer and Pinja Pro.
On planed wood Pinja Pro is recommended to be applied without any separate primer.
The paint system is 120 g/m2 applied in 2 layers.
|Painting||Stir the product carefully before use. Avoid making foam.
For airless spraying the product is thinned approximately 0–10%. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.013"–0.015" and pressure 120–180 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For air-assisted airless spraying, the product is thinned approximately 0–10%. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.013"–0.015" and pressure 40–140 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For conventional spraying, the product is thinned approximately 0–10%. Recommended nozzle tip is 1.6–2.0 mm and pressure 2–3 bar.
Wood contains resin and other colouring extractives especially in knots. Temperature and humidity fluctuations may cause paint coat discolouration in these areas.
|Mixing of components||Stir the paint carefully before use. Avoid flotation.|
|Cleaning of tools||Water.|
|EU VOC 2004/42/EC-limit value||The Volatile Organic Compounds amount is 20 g/litre of paint.
